Royal Institution Mathematics Masterclasses at Bangor University

The Royal Institution Maths Masterclasses for Young People have been running annually at Bangor since 1985 (see previous Masterclasses here). Originally organized by the School of Mathematics and the School of Computer Science, they are now organized by the University’s Corporate Communications and Marketing department in conjunction with the Royal Institution of Mathematics.

All secondary schools in North West Wales are invited to nominate year 9 pupils for these free masterclasses (funded by Bangor University), which take place over 5 Saturdays between January and March each year in Bangor University’s Dean Street building.

Speakers are invited to present to pupils on various mathematical topics with the aim to increase their maths knowledge and interest.
